Oliver has been keeping bees for many years and was one of the first beekeepers in Sussex to pass the BBKA’s Honeybee Health assessment and is working his way through the other assessments and exams to hopefully one day become a Master Beekeeper. An Army Instructor during his time in the British Army – he now teaches various beekeeping courses across the County as well as being the Education Coordinator for East Grinstead Beekeepers Association.
A great day if you are thinking about keeping bees, we will discuss beekeeping today, the apiary set up, why bees and other pollinators are so important, look at different types of hives and take a look inside a working beehive.

A fun practical day spent learning how to assemble a beehive from a flatpack kit. All tools, fixings, and flatpack hive parts are provided. You will take home a fully assembled British-cedar national beehive along with the frames and foundation worth just under £400!
