Description
The Swing:
45cm (18″) long, a rounded top 50mm (2″) x 25mm (1″) weather treated timber perch supported by a zinc-plated screw-in eye at each end. Supplied with two 1m (39″) lengths of chain with which to hang it.
The Chain:
We use chain to hang the swing because previous experience has taught us that chickens enjoy to peck through string, even if it means the swing will fall whilst they are on it!
The chain is Jack chain, which is easily adjusted in length with a pair of long-nosed pliers (no cutting necessary). If a longer length of chain is required this can be purchased separately and easily linked to the existing chain. The chain can be easily hung from a wire mesh roof or a wooden bar without the need for extra fixings.
