Description

Poultry Shed Compost

Our Chicken Compost has been allowed to rot naturally outside, regularly turned and covered with a breathable membrane to stop wind blown weed seeds as far as possible. All compost is left for a minimum of 3 years to be sure it is well ready to use. Its constituents are a mix of pure poultry manure and the various bedding materials (hemp, hay, straw & a mix of shavings), it also contains a reasonable quantity of fine grit (this is given to and passes through the birds). It can be used as a general soil improver or planted direct into the bag or into pots.
