Two 3mm thick glass sheets within a timber frame, glued and screwed, half lapped corners. Has one central slot for a plastic bee escape, which is included. Can be used with the escape for clearing but it will be less efficient than the crownboard. Ideally it should be removed in the winter as its insulation qualities are poor.
